seeking book recommendations (of a quite-specific kind)

What’s your favourite magic-realist novel about historic colonial atrocities?

The Enlightenment of the Greengage Tree by Shokoofeh Azar comes to mind, and now I’ve read The Call by Peadar Ó Guilín.

There must be Australian literature in this vein about our black history.

So please, allllllll the recommendations.
